Place concept electrical points on a measured plan
Use the electrical planner to draw a room boundary and place symbols for outlets, switches, a panel and circuit points. Move, resize and rotate the symbols to compare possible positions, then export a layout for an early discussion.
The planner is a manual concept drawing tool. It does not calculate circuit loads, conductor sizes, breaker ratings, earthing, protective zones or compliance with electrical regulations. A circuit-point symbol is a position marker; it is not an automatically designed or connected circuit.
Build a measured starting layout
Enter the room dimensions and add wall segments using the drawing controls or coordinate inputs. Record doors, windows and large furniture positions in your reference drawing so you do not propose an outlet behind an inaccessible cabinet.
Keep the measured existing layout separate from a proposed revision. Use verified dimensions rather than estimating room size from a photograph. The editor runs in the browser and supports a bounded set of walls and symbols; save your project file before leaving the page.
Example: plan around a working desk
For a 4-by-3-metre room, place a 1.2-by-0.6-metre desk in the intended working position and mark proposed outlets near it. Keep the entry route and door swing visible when comparing positions. Move a switch symbol near the proposed entry location without treating that visual position as an approved installation distance.
Compare a second desk position by saving a separate project revision. Check whether a proposed panel or outlet becomes hidden behind furniture. Discuss the required heights, circuits and protective devices with a qualified professional instead of inferring them from the symbol arrangement.
Export and review
Download SVG for a scalable viewing copy or PNG for an image. Save project JSON if you want to reopen and edit the manual drawing later. Those files serve different purposes: an SVG or PNG export is not the editable project record.
Review the exported image and include a short legend identifying proposed points. Note what is existing and what is only an option. The 3D wall view helps you inspect the envelope; it does not model cables or validate electrical performance.
Use the lighting planner to compare light positions, read the renovation planning guide, and check furniture measurements before deciding which concept to share.
Put your next idea on the plan.
